DusitD2 baraquda pattaya together with the Rotary Club of Jomtien-Pattaya held a highly successful the 7th Pattaya’s Cross Bay Charity Swim Event on 21 November 2010 at Pattaya Bay.

The event was joined by celebrities as well as professional swimmers on both the local and international level.  A team from the Royal Thai Navy which entered the competition under dusitD2 baraquda pattaya team managed to have one member win the short swim (Men) event which was actually a 1.1 kilometer race.

With generous support supplied by the City of Pattaya, Thai Airways International, Dusit Thani Pattaya and many more sponsors, the event managed to raise over 1 Million Baht. This fund will help put clean water filtration equipment in over 31 schools catering to more than 6,000 children.  The students will not only have clean water to drink at their schools, they are also encouraged to take purified water home for their families.
