Fifth book of a series based on the actions of journalist, Annika Bengzton and her family in Sweden.

Annika proved to be an interesting character, but her husband is portrayed as a whining and selfish man who doesn’t seem to contribute anything to the actual story.

Annika is working on a story of an obscure terrorist attack from thirty years ago when she hears of the death of another journalist investigating the same incident. Against the orders of her boss, she continues her enquiries which draws her deeper into the complicated web of murder and politics that is hampered by several brutal killings linked to the victims’ relatives as her marriage begins to disintegrate around her.

Thrown into the deadly trail of a psychopath, will her determination to find the truth threaten her life?

This book is a brilliant thriller full of exciting well plotted action with a decent combination of crime and drama. It is fast paced with a lot of sub plots that add character and involves her husband and best friend Anne who both have storylines that provide action away from the mayhem.
