Pattaya, the 18th of October 2010: At approximately 1:00pm on Monday, Sawang Boriboon Foundation President, Wisit Chawalitnititham, Deputy Mayor Wutthisak Rermkitjakan and Rescue Team President Prasit Thongthitjarern held an announcement for the commencement of a flood relief appeal in Pattaya.
The appeal, commencing on the 18th of October will involve the collection of money, medicine, non-perishable food goods, drinking water and essential survival items to be sent to the displaced people of the ongoing torrential rain and floods occurring in Thailand’s northeastern (Isan) region.

Deputy Mayor Rermkitjakan revealed that Pattaya City in participation with the Sawang Boriboon Foundation, Central Festival, Tesco Lotus, Pattaya Isan Club, the Banglamung Boy Scout Club and Lions Club have organised the appeal so that Pattaya residents can assist the thousands of desperate citizens displaced and injured as a result of severe flooding in the Kingdoms northeast.
All donations, monetary or otherwise, will be dispatched to the affected regions via the provincial seat of Nakhon Ratchasima (worst affected in the floods), on the 22nd of October.
Recognised donations points in Pattaya are as follows:
- Sawang Boriboon Foundation, Naklua
- G floor, Central Festival Beach
- Lotus, North Pattaya
- Lotus, South Pattaya
- In front of Chaimongkol Temple in South Pattaya
- Walking Street, between Soi 14-15 in front of King Seafood
As well as assisting the people of Isan various items and a portion of donated money will go to assisting residents of Pattaya affected by last weeks torrential rains.
