Pattaya, the 6th of October 2010 [PDN]: At approximately 7:30pm on Wednesday, Colonel Nunthawut Suwanla-ong (Pattaya Police Superintendent) along with Lieutenant Colonel Tarathep Toopanich (Pattaya Deputy Superintendent) and his team revealed the arrest of a known thief, Miss Sunun (AKA, Nok Ieam Sa-ad) [40].
Officers revealed that Miss Sunun had been arrested after investigations revealed her as the offender in a pickpocket incident reported to police on the 3rd of October 2010. The incident involved the theft of approximately Bt90,000 in possessions from Mrs. Naiyana Piromna [39] and her Belgian husband Mr. Robert Achilly Yavonne Achodt [62].
The pair had reportedly been robbed by Miss Sunun and two accomplices while travelling on a Baht Bus near the Dolphin Roundabout in North Pattaya on Sunday last week.
Miss Sunun has subsequently been positively identified by Mr. Achodt and his wife while officers revealed that she and her ‘family’ had been perpetrating similar crimes in Pattaya on several other occasions. Reportedly, in all other incidents, largely involving tourists, there had been insufficient evidence to convict her of the crimes or the victim had departed the country and as such dropped the
case.
Although widely known by the Pattaya Police for committing such crimes, Miss Sunun had only been charged one time (in 2001) for theft, before being released, as it was her ‘first’ offence. Fortunately, both Mr. Achodt and his wife reside in Pattaya and have voiced their intentions to cooperate with police over Miss Sunun’s prosecution.
Mrs. Piromna and her husband expressed their gratitude to the Pattaya Police for their fast work in apprehending the offender, advising others to be more vigilant when travelling in Pattaya and to avoid carrying unnecessarily large amounts of cash or valuables.
Officers revealed that investigation are continuing into the identity and whereabouts of the other two offenders involved in the thefts.

The pickpocket should be pointing at them and saying, "they asked for it."
And there's the rub, despite being a habitual criminal, she continues to go about her business unphased because the two week tourist doesn't stay around to help prosecute the case, she knows it, the police know it, TIT.
