Mayor Khunpluem recognised that this year represented the 7th instalment of the popular festival in Pattaya, with a greater emphasis being put on foreign visitors after last year’s successful turnout in that regard. The festival will take place over the 7th-17th of October 2010.
Activities and events organised for this year’s festival include traditional lion dance performances, Chinese martial art displays, concerts, competitions and numerous parades throughout Pattaya city center.
The opening parade, known as the god inviting ceremony, will be held on the 7th of October, moving from Bali Hai Pier in South Pattaya before passing along Walking Street and separating into two lines. One section will continue along Beach Road until turning onto Central Pattaya Road, while the other will meet it via Pattaya Second Road. Secondary parades will be held from the Sawang Fa Temple in Naklua, along the Sawang Fa Road out to the Larn Pho Yard at Naklua Beach.

This years events will be concluded by a final parade on the morning of the 17th, starting from the Sawang Boriboon Foundation Grounds moving to the Larn Pho Yard before a ceremony involving holy water will end the festival.
