Seven People Injured after Four Car Accident in Thepprasit

Share
Seven people have been transported to hospitals around Pattaya on Monday morning, after an accident involving four cars along the Thepprasit Road stopped traffic for over 30 minutes and left two cars completely written-off, according to authorities.

Pattaya, the 27th of September 2010 [PDN]: At approximately 9:00am on Monday, Major Pratiphat Moonlee (Dongtan Police Investigator) was notified of a severe accident along the Thepprasit Road between South Pattaya and Jomtien. A team of officers and Sawang Boriboon Foundation personnel were dispatched to the incident to investigate.

At the scene, in front of the Aksorn Technology School on Thepprasit Road, two pickups, a grey Isuzu Dragon and a black Toyota Hilux, were left strewn across two lanes of traffic. Both vehicles had suffered significant damage to the front-end while the Isuzu had spread engine oil over the road surface and suffered a punctured front tire in the accident.

Rescue crews immediately attended to the injured, including four men and three women from the two involved vehicles, while numerous witnesses and observers gathered at the scene. One man suffered a severe head injury in the accident while another victim suffered a broken leg. All seven of the injured were transported to the Banglamung and Bangkok Pattaya Hospitals.

Two other cars involved in the incident, a bronze Chevrolet and a white Toyota Yaris, were also stationary at the scene, although they had suffered only minor damage in the incident. Traffic along the Thepprasit Road was backed-up for approximately 30-minutes before emergency crews managed to clear the road.

Under interrogation, Mr. Prinyakorn Rattana [37], the driver of the Hilux and local plumbing contractor, stated that he had been heading towards Thepprasit Soi 12 with four workers in the rear tray when the accident occurred. He stated that the driver of the Isuzu, travelling in the opposite direction, appeared to lose control of the vehicle crossing into oncoming traffic before colliding with the front of his vehicle.

As a result of the collision, the four workers on the rear of the Hilux were ejected onto the road, while two other vehicles, the Chevrolet and Vios, following Mr. Rattana collided under heavy braking as a result of the incident. The four workers ejected from the tray of the Hilux and three occupants in the Isuzu received varying injuries resultant from the accident.

At present, police suspect that the Isuzu had lost control due to a deflated front tire, while travelling at speed. Interrogation of witnesses at the scene and the injured will continue in an attempt to ascertain the circumstance behind the accident.

Mr. G. Singh: Please stop with the rediculous comments you attempt to make in your poorly written broken English. Stick to your first language and write in punjabie or Hindi. Then we won't realize your stupidity.

Like, India doesn't have bad drivers and drunkeness on the roads? Give me a break dude....... Have you ever been to a gathering of Indian families and seen the amount of Yellow liquids consumed? It's called Scotch whiskey and your people love it with 7-up while driving their cars to the local park where they will sit and drink until the bottle is empty and then one or more will drive home. Sober? haha!! I don't think so......

So Mr. Singh drop the stupid comments and learn to write and speak English if you are going to continue in this forum......

That is all (Thank you)

What has obviously happened here is the dude in the Isuzu spotted a female on a scooter wearing a short skirt coming in the opposite direction and while trying to get a better look all of a sudden found himself on the wrong side of the road, why don't the police prosecute these girls?

The Isuzu driver was displaying the 'wrong' amulet on the dashboard, otherwise this tragic accident would not have occurred.
