Italian Woman Attack by Armed Intruder in her Pattaya Home

An Italian woman was been assaulted in her Pattaya residence on Monday morning. The offender had broken into the house off Sukhumvit Road, but fled the scene empty handed when confronted by the surprised woman.

Pattaya, the 27^th of September 2010 [PDN]: At approximately 2:00am on Monday, Major-General Suparerk Yooprai (Pattaya Inspector) was notified of an assault and attempted robbery at a house at the Green Residence, Soi Sukhumvit 54. A team of officers along with rescue personnel were dispatched to the incident to investigate.

At the scene, a large two-storey house, officers found 58-year-old Mrs. Nikitina Galina and her husband and son waiting for assistance at the front of the residence. Mrs. Galina was suffering from a small laceration to the head and was rendered immediate first aid by rescue personnel.

Under interrogation, Mrs. Galina informed officers that she had been sleeping with her husband when she was awoken by a disturbance. Accordingly, she decided to investigate the mysterious sounds, leading to her confrontation with the armed thief who was in the process of searching for valuables.

The offender reportedly pistol-whipped Mrs. Galina after a brief scuffle, before fleeing the premises over the garden wall and into surrounding bushland. She described the offender as being approximately 160cm in height and of average/small build.

After the offender had escaped Mrs. Galina’s husband and son awoke to assist her, calling authorities. Village security and volunteer offices conducted a search of the adjacent bushland, cordoning off the area, however there attempts to apprehend the burglar ultimately failed.

Officers have taken a report on the incident and will now continue with investigations into identifying and locating the violent offender.

It is no longer safe for farangs to live in Pattaya anymore, There are two sets of laws, one for Thais and the other for farangs. I am so glad I did not buy any condos in Thailand. To all Sexpats/expats have a good life in the land of scam.

reading this bad story i feeling much shockness and nervous feeling in my bones i am thinking of what happen if me and family in same predickyment and how i can reacting with best intention without falling into police trap for selfing defence of my property so i am thinking better to me for making security lights and the bing bong alarms like seven eleven store by movement motion detection and then possible nasty thief men keep clear my place of sleeping and family
