Pattaya, the 20th of September 2010 [PDN]: At approximately 6:00am on Monday, Major Pratiphat Phoomlee (Dongtan Police Station) was notified of the death of a Thai man in Soi 2, Jomtien Beach Road. A team of officers along with the Sawang Boriboon Foundation attended the incident.
At the scene, a small shack along Soi 2, officers discovered the deceased body of Mr. Panya Kadjaibun [53], a recyclable materials collector from Phetchabun. No signs of a struggle or assault were evident at the scene, while police observed a plastic bag containing rubber bonding adhesive lying next to Mr. Kadjaibun’s body.
Under interrogation, Mrs. Nuan Butnamsong [54], the deceased man’s wife, stated that her husband had been addicted to sniffing glue – known as huffing, dusting or chroming – abusing the substance for many years. She explained that she had left for work earlier the previous night before returning to find her husband dead on the floor with their dog lying beside him.

At present, police suspect that Mr. Kadjaibun had suffered a rupture blood vessel, heart attack or hypoxia as a result of his substance abuse, however officers will await the results of a post-mortem examination before releasing the body to family for funeral purposes.

It will probably be written off as an accidental death by overdosing.
