Pattaya, the 31st of August 2010 [PDN]: At approximately 12:30am on Tuesday, Colonel Nunthawut Suwanla-ong (Pattaya Police Superintendent) along with a team of officers announced the successful arrest of three offenders wanted in connection with an apartment robbery on the 28th of August.

The three offenders, Mr. Rakthai Baithong [23], Mr. Monthon Niemjinda [24] and Miss Samorn Jaikong [25], were arrested in possession of various items stolen from a Miss Merania Pessottini [17] (Thai-Italian heritage) on Saturday.
Allegedly, while Miss Pessottini was away from her apartment at the Baan Suan Lalana residence (building 3) in Soi Chaiyapruk, Jomtien, the three offenders broke into the premises stealing several items of value. The stolen items included, an Acer notebook computer, 2 mobile phones and approximately Bt17,000 in cash (Euro and Baht).

Col. Suwanla-ong revealed officers investigating the case initially arrested Miss Jaikong, who was seen leaving the area with a notebook computer, similar in description to the one stolen, shortly after the robbery. Under interrogation, Miss Jaikong confessed to the crime while implicating her two cohorts in proceedings. All three offenders were found to be living at the same building and floor of the Baan Suan Lalana residence as their victim.
In addition, officers are investigating claims that the three offenders had committed similar criminal acts in the past and have been remanded in custody pending further investigations and judicial proceedings.
