Iranian Drug Mule Arrested in Massive Ya-Ice Seizure

Bangkok’s Metropolitan Police Bureau arrested an Iranian national on drug possession charges in central Bangkok on Monday. The man was arrested when over 10kg of crystal methamphetamine was discovered in his condominium.

Bangkok, the 9^th of August 2010: Following information revealed by an unidentified source, Metropolitan police raided the residence of Mr. Soltan Mohammadi Reza [32], an Iranian national, in the central Bangkok district of Asok on Monday.

During the resultant search of Mr. Reza’s condominium, police uncovered a concealment of over 10kg of the illegal class-1 narcotic ‘Ya-Ice.’ The drugs have an estimated street value of over Bt30 million.

In addition to the massive haul of drugs, officers also confiscated unconfirmed amounts of Thai and US currencies along with various items of gold and jewellery valued at over Bt3 million.

Under interrogation, Mr. Reza confessed to having been involved with the smuggling of drugs into the Kingdom in conjunction with three or four other Iranian businessmen working for a larger syndicate based in Iran. A check of his passport revealed multiple immigration stamps from both Thailand and Malaysia.

Police have subsequently arrested Mr. Reza, charging him with illegal possession of a class-1 restricted narcotic, while investigations into his claims of further drug dealing/smuggling associates are continuing.

I gave infromation regarding Uzbekistan prostitute who are users of drugs, illegal immigrants they got links with many dealers Even twice police caught these ladies but they bribed the officer and get away.. I better think to leave it or somebody they will make some fake case and arrest mee or kill mee because these ladies got links with police and mafia..I was custumer of one lady she cheated and drugged me i call police they caught next day i saw she was free and laughing on mee and her comment was u can not do anything of mee and that time she dont have visa so i really dont have faith in Thai police..And it is really useless to give information to them. I quit

i think working for people in Iran classifies him as a mule champion. just because he wasn't caught at the border like the other tossers makes him no less of an ass to the big wigs.where am i gonna get me gear from now that Reza the old donkey is out of the game....!

Another advanced English lesson; a mule is a donkey that is used to carry things. In the drug world, a mule is a low ranking member of the organization or some outisder hired to smuggle drugs into the country in his stomach or luggage. The guys caught at the airport who say they were offered a low amount of money to carry the drugs are mules. The person described in this article was not a mule, he was a dealer who appreared to be living quite well.
Good that he is out of business.
