Pattaya Food & Beverage Expo ’10 Commences at Royal Cliff

The much-anticipated Pattaya Food & Beverage Expo ’10 has begun at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort on Thursday. The opening ceremony was chaired by the Provincial Administration President with a number of dignitaries and officials present to witness the hospitality trades premier event.

Pattaya, the 5^th of August 2010: From the Peach Hall, Royal Cliff Beach Resort, Mr. Witthaya Khunpluem (Pattaya Administration President) opened the popular festival in front of a congregation of Public and Private VIP’s and visiting guests.

Present at the opening of this years 4^th edition of the Pattaya Food & Beverage Expo were: Mr. Ithiphol Khunpluem (Pattaya City Mayor), Mr. Mai Chaiyanit (Nongprue Local Administration Mayor), Mr. Niti Kongkrut (TAT Pattaya President), Mr. Nunthaphong Wongdao (Pattaya Food & Beverage Association President), Mr. Rattanachai Suthidecha (Tourism and Sport Pattaya Congress Chairman). In addition, many business people, entrepreneurs, employees and members of the public were also present to witness the ceremony.

Pattaya Food & Beverage Association President Mr. Nunthaphong Wongdao explained that this year’s expo had been centered on the widespread improvement of the hospitality industry along the Eastern Seaboard. Focusing on the development and improvement of all hotel, resort, restaurant, bar and coffee shop standards and practices for the benefit of locals and tourists alike.

Highlights of the expo include:

- The free-style fruit & vegetable carving competition

- The professional enjoyable bed making competition ’10

- The professional floral arrangement competition

- Thailand battle of bartender winner cup 2010

- Fusion food (east meets west) competition by anchor

- The Culinary Cup (Featuring Local & International Chefs, NEW).

In addition to the daytime expo at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort, there will be a Thai Food Fair between Soi 4 – Soi 10 in Pattaya every evening from 6:00pm. A variety of fun activities and musical performances has been scheduled for this aside to the main event.

The Pattaya Food & Beverage Expo ’10 will run from the 5^th-7^th of August at the Royal Cliff Beach Resort on Phratamnak Hill, Pattaya.
