Thai Man Arrested for Raping his own Daughter in Pattaya

A Thai man has been arrested by local police on Tuesday morning, for the alleged rape of his 15-year-old daughter. Investigation revealed he was under the influence of narcotics.

Pattaya, the 3rd of August 2010 [PDN]: At approximately 1:00am, Lieutenant Colonel Kretha Tonkanarat (Children & Woman’s Protection Center Region 2 Head) and a team of officers activated an arrest warrant at the Mickey Mouse Apartments in Soi Phornprapanimit 6, Banglamung.

The warrant was for the arrest of Mr. Egkarat Kanthabun, who had been implicated in the rape of his 15-year-old daughter by his ex-wife and mother of the child. The mother declared that Mr. Kanthabun had raped his daughter at least once and had caused her to fall pregnant.

Instigating a raid, officers arrested Mr. Kanthabun while he was in the process of using narcotics (methamphetamines) and gambling with friends at his room. Also confiscated in the raid was a small quantity of Ya-Ba, drug paraphernalia and 2 .38 calibre firearms.

Under interrogation, Mr. Kanthabun denied committing the offence, alleging that he and his ex-wife had split in less than amicable circumstances having fought regularly. Investigations will now continue into the very serious allegations, which carry a maximum punishment of 20 years imprisonment.

If he is guilty, I hope he rots in jail for 20 years, but if he is innocent and the manipulative and malicious ex-wife made a false accusation, she should get the 20 years.
Maybe behavior such as that by ex-wives is not as common in Thailand as it is in Farangland.
