Sriracha 22nd July 2010 [PDN] A vessel carrying LPG tanks that was washed ashore last week after severe weather conditions loosened its moorings, is now being dredged out from where it got stuck on Aou Udom Laem Chabang Beach, Sririacha. Mr. Anan Soiseang, the boat keeper stated that his company had sent the workers to check the boats condition and any damage will be ascertained in order to make necessary repairs after it has been freed.
The boat that had been moored at sea approximately 5 km from the shore for the last year was particularly run down which restricted the owners from obtaining the required registrations while awaiting a sale.

Weighing some 3,000 ton gross, it will take time for complete recovery so as not to tip it over. Finding a decent specialist in boat recovery is difficult, but they hope to have it finished by the end of July, when it will be dragged and floated back out to sea.
Mr. Phisut Amornyut (Marine Transportation Office6-Chon Buri Head) stated that the recovering was now under way and an inspection showed the gas containers were empty.
