Share
Three youths have been arrested by Pattaya Police on Tuesday evening. The teens were arrested in connection with several motorbike thefts that had occurred in the area in which the victim was violently assaulted.

Pattaya, the 13th of July 2010: At approximately 6:30pm, Colonel Natthawut Suwanla-ong (Pattaya Police Superintendent) and Lieutenant Colonel Klitsakorn Thongin (Pattaya Police Deputy Superintendent) unveiled the arrest of three youths wanted in connection with a number of motorbike thefts in Pattaya.

The three suspects, Mr. Ek [15], Mr. Jo [16], and Mr. Rut [17] (all aliases) were apprehended in possession of three stolen motorbikes, one which had subsequently been stripped of its parts. The dismantled bike, believed to be a Honda Wave, was the property of Mr. Anon [15], a key victim who led police to the arrest of the three criminals. Also confiscated were a grey-black Honda Wave 125cc and a Suzuki RC with no license plates, both suspected of being stolen.

Under interrogation, the three youths confessed to being part of a youth gang known as “Look Thewada” (Angle’s Child). They had allegedly been committing motorbike thefts in the area regularly, targeting other unsuspecting youths who they would assault at random before stealing their motorbike. Reportedly, the stolen motorbikes would be stripped and rebuilt for racing purposes or resold for cash.

Colonel Suwanla-ong stated that the arrests were testament to a detailed investigation by the Pattaya Police, which will now focus on apprehending further members of the “Angel’s Child” in order to bring them to justice.
