Pattaya, the 12th of July 2010 [PDN]: At approximately 11:30pm on Tuesday, Lieutenant Colonel Weerawut Meelai (Pattaya Police Investigator) was notified of a theft incident involving a foreigner at the Central Festival Department Store on Pattaya’s Beach Road. A team of officers, including Major Wirut Sornghorng (Pattaya Police Investigator & Chon-Buri Trans-national Crime Division Head) and an interpreter, were immediately dispatched to investigate the incident.

At the scene, in front of the Super Sport Store in Central Festival, officers discovered the offender, Mr. Christian Clarke [34] a British national, being detained by center
security guards. Mr. Clarke was in possession of a Titleist “Scotty Cameron” putter (golf club), which he had allegedly stolen from the aforementioned sport store. The club is valued at approximately Bt15,000.
Investigation with the storeowner and security at the center revealed that Mr. Clarke had initially asked the price of the golf club before attempting to steal it, while the shop owner was indisposed. Security guards allegedly witnessed Mr. Clarke attempting to steal the club by concealing it down his trousers. Upon exiting the store, security detained him and requested permission to frisk him subsequently finding the stolen putter and contacting police.
Mr. Clarke was remanded in police custody awaiting the commencement of further judicial proceedings. He has been charged with theft.

Is it possible that Mr. Clarke is a clairvoyant, like Paul the octopus, and was simply checking out the viability of such a suggestion?
In any event, it might be a defence he could consider, I'm sure the Thai courts will take a sympathetic view.
The US are the leader blue on blue, friendly fire, perpetrators and this is a published FACT.
As for special forces, with the exception of the SEALS and possibly DELTA, the US are shit on by Brit, Indian, French, Russian and even Aussie units. This is generally accepted by former members of US spec ops teams. Once again read from a variety of sources and you will find conformation.
Regarding WWI and WWII, I think you will find it is a few years since you all last learnt about this at school. In particular WWII, the yanks pretty much did fuck all but look after their own ass.
Peace from Switzerland, hahaha
The very same one accused of kiddy fiddling in South Pattaya no doubt..
Oh dear,, what a very sad individual

i just wonder if he's been telling porkies!!!!!
I declare my innocence on the theft charge.
I'm a tosser with an unusual proclivity for golf clubs, hence my actions were based on my uncontrollable arousal upon seeing this virgin Scotty Cameron.
The psychiatrist has diagnosed me as a "putter-file". From what I learned on the web, Pattaya is a haven for "putter-files" like me.
Not like he wandered across a store boundary.. he stuck the bloody thing down his trousers.
I can think of many better things to nick from Central Pattaya beach than a bloody golf club though!
I wonder what Mr. Clarke's declared handicap is (and I'm not referring to his lack of brains here).
My lady has just asked me why he not rent golf club if he want to play golf, no need to steal! Such down to earth sense (sometimes).
Very bad form.
And who says the BIB rarely provides tourist assistance? It looks to me like the police gave him a free silver-plated Plane-EZ Golf Training Aid for his arms - to improve his swing...
You'd never see a Scotsman try smuggling smuggling golf clubs under his kilt!
You are a plonker.
I bet you wish you payed for it instead now don't you?
Stealing a 300 quid putter is not worth a 2 year jail term.
I could have sold you a better one than that for 5000 baht.
I say again, PLONKER!
What is wrong with stealing
i do it all the time
hang in there my friend
Abdul, and what country are you from ?
Which is the bigger crime, this idiot stealing or the shop selling a piece of metal for 15k?.
Theres a time a time and a place for shoplifting, its usually when you are 12 years old and you steal some sweets from the cornershop with your friends, its not when you are 34 in a foreign country.
This is not like the airport cases where someone crosses an unmarked boundary between 2 shops and gets arrested without any showing of intent to steal.
Granted he is innocent until proven guilty, but the case is not ridiculous from its inception.
