Pattaya, the 10^th of July 2010 [PDN]: At approximately 11:00pm, the Sawang Boriboon Foundation was notified of a childbirth at the Emily Beer Bar in Soi Buakhao, Central Pattaya. A team of rescue officers were immediately dispatched to the incident to render assistance.

Arriving at the scene, rescue officers aided a woman, now known to be Miss Thasaphorn Singthawat [33], who had just given birth to a healthy 3kg baby boy. Initial health checks revealed both the mother and baby to be in a stable condition, who were subsequently transported to the Banglamung Hospital for post-natal care.

A brief interview attained by reporters at the scene, revealed that Miss Singthawat had conceived the baby with an English boyfriend who had left here shortly after she fell pregnant. She also stated that she had another 10-year-old son, from her former Thai husband.

She explained that she met the boy’s father whilst working as a Bargirl in Pattaya following a divorce from her Thai husband. Miss Singthawat revealed that her English boyfriend had left her with no money and she was currently staying at the Emily Beer Bar at the behest of her friends and the gracious bar owner.

According to the former midwife who had aided Miss Singthawat, the birth came very suddenly and was unproblematic. Miss Singthawat expressed her gratitude to both the midwife and her friends for being so kind and understanding of her situation.
