Paedophile Agent Busted Following Pattaya Investigation
Pattaya, the 4th of July 2010 [PDN]: At approximately 7:00pm on Sunday, Lieutenant Colonel Ormsin Sukkankha (Banglamung Police Investigator and Chief of the Children & Woman Protection Center Region 2) along with officers from the Welfare Protection and Child Development Center arrested a suspect involved with a child prostitution racket operating in Pattaya.
Mr. Supphakorn Noja (Welfare Protection and Child Development Center Director) revealed to police recent reports presented to his agency relating to indecent sexual acts performed on a minor and the subsequent production of a video involving the child. Resultant investigation revealed the offender to be Mr. Traiphop Bunphasong [40], a child prostitution agent operating in the area.
With the use of an arrest/search warrant officers busted Mr. Bunphasong whilst he was riding his motorbike in Soi Khaotalo, Pattaya. A search of his motorbike at the scene uncovered a lewd photograph of him and a young boy involved in an intimate pose at which point he was immediately arrested.
Officers presented Mr. Bunphasong with the arrest/search warrant and proceeded to his residence/business in the nearby Soi Nernplubwan. At the premises, an internet café with above residence, officers confiscated a hard-drive, memory card and handy drive all containing various forms of pornography involving young boys between the ages of 9-15. Documentation pertaining to a pornography business were also confiscated in the search.
Under interrogation, Mr. Bunphasong confessed to being an agent soliciting minors, primarily young boys, to a largely foreign clientele. He also confessed to having sold lewd photographs involving minors to overseas-based pornography websites. Mr. Bunphasong has been charged with multiple counts of sexual abuse of a minor under 15-years-old, deceiving minors into performing indecent acts, soliciting prostitution of a minor and illegal detention of a minor without parental consent.
Officers believe Mr. Bunphasong was a major agent in the underage homosexual prostitution industry in the area with over 40 young boys thought to be involved with the racket.

Please re-read the comment. Maybe it wasn't clear, but it was not directed at PDN, but at the posts by readers who group everyone under 18 into the "paedophile" group. They (readers) don't seem to know that paedophiles are interested in children who are not yet at puberty. By definition that would exclude anyone having encounters with those who are already pubescent teenagers. There are other terms to describe those individuals who indulge in under legal age sex. Pervert, molester and so on, but not paedophile.

Now there's the first brilliant thing you have ever said. America already publishes the names. If you have an American's name, you can go to numerous websites and learn if he is a convicted pedophile. Britain and some European Countries for purely stupid reason think these people have some right to privacy about their convicted status.
Rumour has it that he is a police informant and is "untouchable". Maybe he also buys some "tea".
What about the many Thai owned bars that youngster available for services? Maybe they paid the monthly tea money and the police won't see anything.
It is often the person that yells the loudest that has the most to hide. It make a great distraction and camouflage so no one will notice them and their short comings.
PREPUBESCENT is the key word. It is a huge difference in terms of the laws of most countries. Prepubescent would not include anyone that is a normal young person, usually about 13, that has stated puberty. Minors 13-15 are not prepubescent and therefore the act is illegal but it is not paedophilia.
Pedophilia (or paedophilia) is a psychiatric disorder in adults or late adolescents (persons age 16 and older) characterized by a primary or exclusive sexual interest in prepubescent children.
