A Thai man has been admitted to hospital in a critically injured state on Monday afternoon. The man had been brutally assaulted, stabbed and left for dead in currently unknown circumstances near Na Jomtien.

Pattaya, the 14th of May 2010 [PDN]: At approximately 1:00pm on Monday, Colonel Nunthawut Suwanla-ong (Pattaya Police Superintendent) was notified of a brutal stabbing attack on a Thai man who had been admitted to the Banglamung Hospital. Arriving at the hospital, officers found the victim Mr. Adun Janthima [36] being treated by an emergency medical team for severe lacerations and internal bleeding.

Mr. Janthima managed to inform police that he was severely assaulted, stabbed and left for dead in Soi Chaiyapruk 3 off Soi Chaiyapruk road in Na Jomtien. The offender, known only as Mr. Koeh had tied Mr. Janthima by the hands and feet after severely assaulting and stabbing him. He then pushed Mr. Janthima into a small reservoir near a construction site, leaving him to drown or die from his injuries. Fortunately Mr. Janthima was rescued shortly after by a local crane driver who was working at the nearby condominium development.

Due to the extreme nature of Mr. Janthima’s injuries, severe internal bleeding of the bowel and a partial laceration of the intestines, he has since been transferred to the better equipped Chon-Buri hospital in Chon-Buri City.

Investigating at the scene of the attack, police interviewed several witnesses at the Porch Land Condominium development in Soi Chaiyapruk. The witnesses explained that the had seen the victim sitting beside the reservoir at approximately 10:00am that morning. Allegedly he then ran away from the scene in a distressed state when another man, thought to be Mr. Koeh, rode up on a blue Yamaha motorbike. Nothing was seen of Mr. Janthima until after almost one hour he turned up severely injured and floating in the reservoirs water.

A full scale police investigation is currently in operation in order to apprehend the brutally violent attacker, whilst police will wait for Mr. Janthima to fully recover from his injuries before interrogating him further over the cause of the confrontation.

My sympathies to this lad, same thing happened to me at the soapy last week.
There I was, playing 'Tie me Kangaroo Down' with a couple of LB's when I accidentally slipped on a bar of soap, sat down on a flashlight and fell into the tub.
Fortunately, the room was sudsy enough that after about an hour they were able to extricate the flashlight without medical intervention.

Doesn't make sense! Why is this man semi clothed? Why is he tied to the chair if he is the victim?

I think the real story is that this man had an accident while attempting to tie his shoes.

The original story just doesn't make any sense.
