Dr Panitan, acting government spokesman, said the prime minister will brief about 130 foreign diplomats, representatives of international agencies, and foreign media at Government House at around 1pm on the recent political unrest in Thailand.

A high-end shopping mall, cinema, banks, and other public and private buildings were set on fire and a violent riot occurred on May 19 after the anti-government ‘Red Shirt’ United Front for Democracy against Dictatorship (UDD) leaders announced their surrender after the security forces stepped up their containment pressure at the protest site at Ratchaprasong intersection.
Also, Mr Abhisit is expected to brief them on his five-point national reconciliation plan which he first announced earlier this month, Dr Paitan said.

Mr Abhisit will at 3pm brief foreign journalists at the same venue, Mr Panitan said.
Security around Government House has been tightened as only one gate is opened for visitors prior to the arrival of the foreign envoys. (TNA)
