Pattaya 19th May 2010: [PDN]At 1pm, Police Lieutenant Anon Infong a Na Jomtien Investigator was notified by rescue personnel from the Sawang Rodjanatham Foundation of Mrs. Chun Sairatree’s death [75] near her house 5/3 , Moo5, Najomtien, Sattahip. The deceased woman’s relatives had carried her from the scene of her unfortunate death to her home.
Subsequently the officer arrived at the scene behind the deceased’s house to investigate the incident. The officer found a trough filled with rain water where the vegetable morning glory was growing. The relatives stated that when they tried pulling the body from the trough, they found the suction of the mud made it difficult to free the legs. It is believed this may have caused the old lady to fall as she attempted to steady herself before eventually drowning.

Police Lieutenant Anon Infong stated that there was no doubt that the death was an unfortunate accident as picking the vegetable was a regular activity of Mrs. Chun’s daily life. She had always been in good health with excellent eye sight.
Mrs. Chun’s body has been sent for autopsy to verify the cause of death before being released back to the family for funeral arrangements at Nongjabtao Temple, Na Jomtien, Sattahip.
