Pattaya Police Victim of Desperate Katoey Snatch & Run

An aggrieved ladyboy has been arrested in Pattaya on Sunday after attempting to pickpocket a local police sergeant major whilst he was on duty.

Pattaya, the 2^nd of May 2010 [PDN]: At approximately 5:00pm on Sunday, Police Lieutenant Colonel Rerngwit Ragchat (Pattaya Police Investigator) was notified that a katoey had attempted to rob a fellow police officer in front of the Mike Shopping Mall on Pattaya’s Second Road. A team of officers were dispatched to the scene to investigate the incident further.

Arriving at the scene, police discovered the offender, Mr. Phongsathorn Joomsin [23] a ladyboy, had already been apprehended and detained by his victim, police Sergeant Major Adirek Chamnanjan (Pattaya Police Suppression Unit Chief). Sgt. Maj. Chamnanjan explained that he had been on duty when the incident occurred, catching the offender attempting to pickpocket him whilst he was chatting to a friend at a local Beer Bar in the area.

Mr. Joomsin, the offender, explained to police that he had recently had his motorbike confiscated by the police and could not afford to pay the fine to get it back. He stated that he had attempted to pickpocket the Sgt. Maj. and use the money to procure his motorcycle back.

Luckily for the Sgt. Maj. He successfully caught the offender in the process of taking the money, believed to be 1,400 baht, from his pocket. Mr. Joomsin had now been arrested and will remain in police custody awaiting further judicial proceedings to commence.

Obviously this on duty cop was in plain clothes. If on duty what was he doing with a weeks worth of income in his pocket? Silly man...

This suspect person does need help in many ways. Appearance is #1 priority for sure. He will be well used after his stint in the local lock-up. He will have to collect IOU's though as not to much free cash for services rendered in a Gaol.
