Australian Leaps off 4th Floor Apartment in Pattaya

An Australian National leapt from his fourth floor Pattaya apartment after a heated argument with his girlfriend early this morning.

Pattaya 15th April 2010 [PDN] Police Lieutenant Colonel Anan Thamchaikul, a Pattaya police investigator received a call at 04.30 am informing him of a foreign man who had jumped from a fourth floor apartment. Police and the rescue team rushed to the scene to investigate.

The incident happened behind the “R_CON” apartment, no. 128/87 Moo. 9, Nongprue, where police found Australian National Mr. Danny James Richardson, [30] lying in a pool of blood. He was wearing long black pants and no shirt. Mr. Richardson suffering from serious injuries was immediately taken to Pattaya Memorial hospital.

The police officials questioned the security guard, who told them that Mr. Richardson had a heated argument with his girlfriend, Miss Supatsorn Junsopa in his room [A417] on the fourth floor. The security guard attempted to calm their conflict as their noise was disturbing the neighbors.

Approximately ten minutes after leaving the scene, he saw Mr. Richardson climbing out over the balcony rail behind the room. He walked up and down for a couple of minutes before jumping off, it was at this point that the security guard informed the police of the incident.

Australian waiters and waitresses are professionals who earn up to 30-35 dollars an hour! paid by the employer.aussies obviously dont have to tip as high as other farangs in their countries and yes, Australians do get into trouble in restaurants in impoverished USA where waiters earn as little as 2 or 3 dollars an hour and rely on tips to survive.Australians arent use to associating with white people who are so poorly paid.

A deeply saddening story. It seems emotional turmoil got the better of this unfortunate chap. He is lucky to be alive because if he had landed on his head he would have had a brain injury.

However I would expect some kind of serious injury to his legs and pelvis and spine.

Australians do have a reputation for alcohol abuse so I also suspect possible intoxication helped exacerbate the situation.

Let's hope for an update on this story.
