1My friend came Saturday on a bus from Bangkok. She said it took 6 1/2 hours for the bus to travel from the Eastern Bus Terminal in Bangkok to Pattaya and most of that time was just trying to get out of Bangkok.

0Today Saturday along Phaholyothin Road after Ayutthaya at 4.00 pm I saw an awsome convoy of red shirts in cars and pick ups.
About 50 KM from Bangkok vehicals occupied every lane.
This stretched as far as the eye could see.
All along the roadside were local redshirts waving red flags welcoming their Northern counterparts with gifts of flowers water and food.
It reminded me of Pathe news clips showing the French welcoming the alied liberators.
The police and army on the checkpoints seem somewhat overwlmed by the numbers and as I write they are still flowing in.
Time to stock up on groceries, gasoline lock upyour daughters and Batten down the hatches if you live in Bangkok.
