Pattaya, the 3rd of March 2010 [PDN]: At approximately 00:15am, Police Lieutenant General Tharathep Toopanich (Pattaya Police Deputy Superintendent) received a report that a gambling ring operating in South Pattaya was in the process of conducting their illegal activities.

Swooping on the scene, a row of townhouses in South Pattaya, police arrested 11 males and 4 females playing the popular illegal betting game Hi-Lo. Evidence such as the game mat, dice and other equipment was also confiscated.
Police interrogated Mr. Na Thavorn [43] whose identification card confirmed him as a resident of Huay Tub-Tun, Srisaket province. Mr. Thavorn confessed that he was the organiser of the gambling racket and the owner of the house at which police conducted the bust. He also stated to police that he had been gambling for a long-time prior to this arrest. All offenders have been temporarily detained awaiting further judicial proceedings to commence.
