Phuket, the 23rd of February 2010 [PDN]: Young British National due to fight later in the week at one of the boxing stadiums in Patong died instantly when his motorbike collided with another ridden by a Thai man at approximately 5.30 am on 22nd February 2010. A Danish man riding pillion with the Brit was seriously injured and taken to Phuket International Hospital by a passerby. He remains in a critical condition in the Intensive Care Unit.
On arrival at the scene, Police found the bodies of Adam William Menagh [22] and Chainarong Wathana [24] on Chao Fa East Road, opposite Soi Thanoothep in Chalong at 5.30 am. They had both suffered severe head trauma and had died instantly.
Police assume Mr. Menagh’s motorbike may have veered across the lanes on his way into Phuket Town causing him to collide with Mr. Chainarong as he came from Phang Nga province, heading towards Chalong.
Neither of the two victims were wearing helmets. Police will continue with their investigations in an attempt uncover the reasons behind the fatal accident.

IF THEY DO NOT HAVE A MOTOR BIKE LICENCES IN THERE HOME COUNTRY WHY THE HELL ARE THEY ALLOWED TO RIDE A MOTOR BIKE HERE .
IT IS ALWAYS ABOUT MONEY .
Joe pissed off at the Thai system.
thank you
If he was a boxer he would be in training ring @ 5.30, not speeding thru the streets. Good riddance
Can this be the same guy?
Can this be the same guy?
RIP Adam.
If it hasn't already occurred to you, people who knew Adam are looking for updates on the tragedy as well as information as to what happened that night. Until you have the facts in front of you, I suggest you keep your comments to yourself. My thoughts are with all parties involved, and I hope that the Danish individual recovers in hospital. Rest in peace Adam, you will be sorely missed by all your friends and family. You were a genuine guy, and for that I am thankful that I met you.
Bars should put up notices to look out for customers on motor Bikes.
or get the Bar Ladies to look out for Drunk men.
we can all help each other.
john, you blame us Brits for drinking excessively yet you've lived off the profits for the past 25 years - how many bar girls work for you? Look in the mirror hypocrite.
If the brit was a fighter, it's highly likely that he was heading to train at 5.30AM. In my experience, Thais drive on the wrong side of the road, not foreigners - but it's wrong to jump to conclusions without the fact.
Rob -I'm pretty sure that somebody is keeping you a seat warm in hell, right next to the sewer.
they just cannot handle it, I've owned a bar here for 25 yrs and they are the worst drinkers in the world..
