Sir Elton John Labels Jesus a Gay Man

During an interview with an American magazine this weekend, Sir Elton John has risked the ire of the Bible belt after a throw away remark describing Jesus as a “Super Intelligent Gay Man.”

During a discussion with a journalist from Parade magazine on the experience of lesbians in the Middle East, he made a comment saying, ‘I think Jesus was a compassionate, super intelligent, gay man who understood human problems. On the cross, he forgave the people who crucified him. Jesus wanted us to be loving and forgiving. I don’t know what makes people so cruel. Try being a gay woman in the Middle East and you are as good as dead.”

Sir Elton continued by discussing his own gay relationships, invariably having had affairs with jobless young men and his civil partnership with David Furnish in 2005. He went on to say, “I’d always choose someone younger as I wanted to smother them with love. I’d take them around the world, try to educate them. One after another, they got a Cartier watch, a Versace outfit, maybe a sports car. They didn’t have jobs. They were reliant on me. I did this repeatedly. In six months, they were bored and hated my guts because I’d taken their lives and self worth away. I hadn’t intended to.”

How America will react to the Sir Elton’s thought’s, remains to be seen. An interview in 1966, John Lennon told Maureen Cleave of the Evening Standard that the Beatles were more popular than Jesus. This comment was picked up by the American magazine Datebook leading religious groups to burn Beatles records in protest. Lennon was forced to make an apology.

It is time that the entourage of Elton John needs to stop kissing his behind and start telling him when he should probably keep his mouth shut. He needs attention because his talent has run out – he isn't performing Rachmaninoff for a reason, ok? Saying Jesus was gay is inflammatory, dumb, and more to the point – historically inaccurate. (Assuming the Asexual Jesus hypothesis, he didn't care – assuming the Mary Magdalene hypothesis, he was straight, and assuming Mary Magdalene looked anything like Monica Belucci, that actress that played the part in The Passion – he also had game!) I doubt Elton John needs payday loans or to sell more records – but maybe it's time to retire.

Harvester - Christian's like to play the New Testament card, even though the New Testament quotes Jesus as saying the Old Testament laws are in effect until Heaven and Earth disappear. Do you believe in the New Testament verses that state women shouldn't braid their hair, or wear gold? Or that women remain silent in church? Should a woman never hold authority over a man? I would not be surprised at all if E.John believed that he IS Jesus Christ!

He should read St Paul, Romans 2: 22-32 if he really wants to know what Jesus Christ thought of gays. It was inspired by the Holy Spirit.

To noname - Leviticus and Exodus are from the OLD testament with the OLD covenant followed (uselessly) by the Jews today. The NEW testament contains the words and works of JESUS CHRIST including the new covenant of his church and blood. Romans 2 is in the NEW testament.

The so-called 'love' that E.John talks about is completely selfish and consists of shoving his penis up any man's anus with permission if he pays them enough money for it.

Elton John is completely crazy. We hope he vanishes very soon and takes his senile dementia with him - although he has always been completely whacked. And, I can assure you, E.John will not be rising from the dead.
