It's a Police force in name only
Pattays'a police are seen as a joke around the world.

They are incapable of actually detecting crime and only seem to get a conviction when the criminal is too drunk to escape and then confesses.

If this guy had been a foreinger this would have been a suicide due to him worrying about a congenital illness,

Most of it gets collected by the hawker within 48 hrs after paying a small fine and is back on sale again at the same location. The BiB earn their brownie points with the higher ups so that Thailand is seen to be cracking down on copy stuff, and the press get another local page filler. Meanwhile, Tukcom and Panthip carry on business-as-usual. Another day in paradise...

Who gives a crap about merchandise. My guess is that it gets boxed up and redistributed in another city. Extra money for the BIB.

What about the killer and robber katoeys and bar girls. How about the drugs and gangsters that are everywhere? Enough tourists have been injured or killed already.

Do the job you are paid to do. Do something that does not involve profit for the police mafia. Oh, maybe that is too dangerous for the BIB to handle.
