Pakistani Arrested With Stomach Full of Drugs at Airport

A Pakistani man was arrested by Thai customs officials at Bangkok’s Suvaranbhumi International Airport Friday with 90 packets--almost one kg--heroin in his stomach.

Bangkok, 29th of January 2010 [TNA]:  Ahmad Shabbir was arrested during immigration procedures when customs officers believed him to be acting suspiciously and required him to pass through an X-ray scanner, finding many bags of unidentified matter in his stomach.

The detainee was ordered to a toilet to defecate and officials found 90 packages of heroin, weighing nearly one kilogramme.

The estimated street value of the heroin is some Bt2.5 million (US$75,000).

Mr Shabbir was charged with possessing and trafficking drugs and is being held at the Narcotics Suppression Bureau for further investigation, said the customs officials. (TNA)

this was a stupid thing to do in a country where drugs are strongley forbiden thais are only trying to run there country safe from any drugs so that there children grow up safe and free from drugs one man same origin as this man was sentenced to death in a country very simular to thailand the thing this country could impose the death sentence on this man and who could blame them if they did people should not think drugs are the be all and end all of life because they are not they only arm you. you will only end up in the big tiger or the death row either way you end up banged up abroard
