Pattaya, 17th January 2010, [PDN]. At 6.30 am, Police Lieutenant Klib Inkaew, (Banglamung Police Investigator) received a report of a house fire at 163/7, Phermsap Village, Moo 6, Norngprue, Banglamung. The officer, along with Sawang Boriboon team, Pattaya Security Volunteer team and five fire engines arrived at the scene almost immediately.
At the scene, the officer discovered that 20 houses surrounding the fire were actually connected to the house concerned and had to be evacuated. The house was totally alight with flames licking through the windows and doors, which took the services more than an hour to extinguish leaving it totally destroyed.

Mr. Tui Chaiyabut [28], the landlord, who suffered burns to his left hand, had to be rescued, along with his girlfriend who were fast asleep and oblivious to the incident that surrounded them. The neighbors, who were outside prior to the rescue, shouted desperately to the couple in the hope of waking them without success. He and his girlfriend were lucky to have escaped with their lives and suffering only minor injuries.
After police investigations were completed, and the officers inspected the house, it was assumed the fire was caused by an electrical fault which occurred when an electrical item was left plugged in.
