Pattaya, th
e 18th of January 2010 [PDN]: One of the partners in Lewinski’s Hotel, Restaurant & Golfing Bar in Soi Pattayaland-1, did not go along with such a theory, so when a small property became available, he set about changing it to a small pub, just like the cozy corner hotels that he knew so well in Ireland. Peter had been coming to Pattaya since 1978, so he had some good ideas of what customers from the British Isles and other regions of the English speaking world wanted the most.
Being small you immediately have the feeling of privacy, especially with its recessed entrance, and while the lighting has been dimmed a little, it is still quite adequate to find your friends. The small bar with Stowfo
rd Cider, Tetley’s Beer & Guinness on tap, is conveniently situated on the left side as you enter the front door, while past this the rear wall has three large TV screens, where patrons can lounge in large, comfortable chairs to watch their favorite movie, sports program or news event. Surprisingly the sound volume from these is not excessive, so everyone gets to relax.
“Maggie Mays” Pub takes you back in time by 100-years and lets you relax in “Old World” style, away from the intense pressures of modern day living, and even their resident cat looked more content. This quiet little pub is situated halfway along Soi Chaiyapoon on the southern side of the street, and it will immediately give you the impression that it is your “home away from home.” (For more details phone Maggie May’s super efficient “boss lady,” Miss Namwan on mobile phone 087.828.0973).
