Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa announced as Winner of the 7th Thailand Tourism Award of Excellence for City Hotel, by the Tourism Authority of Thailand. One of the objectives of the Tourism Authority of Thailand is to recognize and honor those who have played a significant role in tourism development by presenting a number of awards for outstanding tourism-related projects.Pattaya Marriott Resort & Spa was announced to be the winner of the Award of Excellence for City Hotel 2008.

The resort, which is located in the heart of Pattaya, met and exceeded all criteria needed to qualify for this distinguished award. This year’s criteria were based on globally hot issues such as environmental conservation, energy saving policies and standards of service. The resort went the extra mile in motivating associates, tourists and the local community to enhance awareness and to promote cooperation in environmental issues and local culture conservation.
