Two intruders stole the property of an engineer after breaking into his house, on May 28, 2008, early in the morning, fighting with the victim and brutally stabbing him 20 times. Police, however, are not convinced it was purely a matter of theft because of the severity of the attack and suspect it was a case of vengeance.

Nong-karm Police, Sriracha were notified of the break-in by two armed thieves at around 3.30am. The victim, Mr. Jaruen Gate-Jae (32), was a production engineer of Celestica Company Ltd.(Thailand), that produces electronic parts, in Laem Chabang. Police accordingly rushed to the bungalow in Moo Baan Sukjaruen 1, Bung district, Sriracha to investigate the incident.

Arriving at the house, police found a huge pool of blood on the living room floor. There were signs of fighting with many blood stains up the wall. Mr. Jaruen had been brutally stabbed all over his body, about 20 times and did not survive the wounds during his transfer to Phayathai Sriracha Hospital.

The two thieves made good their escape on a motorbike, stealing a notebook computer and many other personal items. Police, however, are not convinced that it was a merely a case of theft because Mr. Jaruen had been so brutally stabbed. Police suspect there could be other motives behind the killing, possibly vengeance. Police will question his wife and child who were sleeping separately in another part of the house to gain further information in order to follow up the case and arrest the perpetrators of the brutal crime.
