After stretching her lead to seven strokes in the third round on Saturday, Suzann saw the gap shrink to just one, as Laura excelled in the last round of the competition, finishing with seven-under 65.
The Norwegian’s one-under final round of 71 was far off her nine-under-par 63 of the previous day. Her round included four bogeys while Laura racked up six birdies as well as an eagle on the first hole.
But it was an eagle on the last hole that ensured Suzann victory, after the two players had been tied heading up the 18th. Suzann finished with a winning 21-under-par total of 267.
“Its been fantastic,” she said after her win at the Siam Country Club.
American Paula Creamer came third, carding six-under-par 66, taking her total to 18-under 270.
Rachel Hetherington of Australia crept up the leader board on the last day, shooting a seven-under 65. She came fourth with a total 16-under-par 272.
Early front-runner Alena Sharp from Canada finished seventh, shooting a two-under-par 70 on Sunday and carding a total of 277.
Former World No 1 Annika Sorenstam came sixth on 275, while defending champion Hee Won Han settled for 11th place after a 70 took her total to 281.
